Helpful Hint

The effectiveness of cat litter, can be enhanced by:

• Feeding your cat highly digestible, quality cat diets which reduce the volume of waste produced by your cat
• Regularly removing portions of soiled waste from the litter tray using a litter scoop

Directions for Use

Single Tray Litter Box

• Fill a clean empty litter tray with a layer of approx. 3 cm of litter
• Scoop out solid waste daily
• Completely empty the tray and replace the litter regularly

Double Tray Litter Box

• Put 2-3 hands full of litter in the bottom tray under the sieve. This base litter soaks up any liquid that goes through the top. After you have put a layer of 2cm of litter in the top of the sieve, the tray is ready to use.
• Frequently shake the tray. This allows particles that have absorbed the odour causing liquid to fall through the sieve and into the base. Scoop out solids daily. The wet litter, in the base, can be replaced as required.

Regular Maintenance for Double Tray Litter Box

• Clean out all the wet litter from the base
• Move a couple of scoops of litter from the top of the sieve to the base
• Add a couple of scoops of fresh litter to the top of the sieve
• This process means that the litter will be regularly “renewed” with fresh litter always being added to the top
• Clean the whole tray and sieve every 2-3 weeks, or more frequently if required. Use bleach or a non-citrus based equivalent, and replace all the liter.
